Jarrod Dickenson
7:30pm $10 Tickets at the door
Opening Act: Alex Gorchesky
Austin based singer-songwriterJarrod Dickenson’s timeless songs remind the listener of classic artists like Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and more, while maintaining a fresh sound that is all his own. His captivating stories will bring you back to a time when American folk music was king. There are songwriters who come and go without ever really impacting our lives, and then there are songwriters whose words seem to bore straight into our souls, and never let go. Their songs bother us. They simply can’t go in one ear, and out the other. Rather, they have to be processed, slept on and digested. They are the kind of songs that tug at our hearts, and challenge our minds. Jarrod Dickenson is most definitely in the latter category. He will take you back in time to the days of The Great Depression and WWII with captivating stories of old. He’ll make you reflect on your own life with heart-wrenching songs of love lost, and he’ll remind you that somewhere in the midst of all the chaos there is still the hope of a brighter tomorrow. His songs have the unique ability of making you see what he is seeing, and feel what he is feeling. One merely has to listen to the raw emotion in his voice to know that Jarrod is not simply a fine story-teller, but also someone who has truly experienced that of which he so powerfully sings. www.jarroddickenson.com

INDIE SERIES PRESENTS:
Double Vision
7:30pm $15 Tickets
The world has two new musical geniuses for the hip-hop throne, Johnathan (Mackamillion) and Jarred (Mr.Mackmore) aka, Double Vision (DV). Double Vision are twin brothers that have been compared to duos such as Kriss Kross, Camp Lo, Little Brother and Outkast. “We like to set trends for what should and shouldn’t be. We’re not gangsters, we’re more like a funky twist of backpackers and macks”. Mackamillion says. From a city with artistic energy and cultural diversity (Venice, CA), and then living in between cities throughout the mid-west and the south, it’s no wonder these baby faced men have such old souls and insight that reflects in their music. When asked about their genre of music they so proudly claim as their own, Mr.Mackmore explains, “we speak for the men and women who seem to naturally attract the opposite sex without what some people call game or the use of pick up lines. As for the backpacker part, we’re talking about those independent artists, Hip Hop purists and entrepreneurs who have their own hustle, no matter what genre of music or business they’re involved in”. Double Vision addresses the issues of the common folks, not the “iced out jewels” or drug dealer stories that our ears are currently saturated with. Double Vision represents the real issues we all go through. It’s obvious these guys just want to bring the fun back into music. Sit back, relax and be prepared. Double Vision is solely interested and dedicated to making innovative and creative music. www.myspace.com/doublevisionmackrap

INDIE SERIES PRESENTS:
Jeremiah and the Red Eyes
7:30pm $15 Tickets
Jeremiah and the Red Eyes are touring the country to support the new release, “Under Your Spell”. The 16 show tour starts in Los Angeles and goes to Chicago in the north, Nashville and Austin in the south, and St. Louis in the midwest. They are ready to spread their bluesy, twangy sound across the countryside. Los Angeles based artist Jeremiah (Sammartano) and the Red Eyes started in the Southern California coffeehouses and bars, picking up sounds and ideas along the way and later mixed them up with the song ideas in his head. What came out was a blend of the Delta Blues and old folk songs, Tom Waits and the Replacements, some Willie Nelson twang, some good old garage rock and roll – and a whole lot of other things – Delta blues and twangy grooves, one reporter called it. 2004 saw the release of Red Eyed and Restless on Bull Stud Records and was played on various U.S. stations including the syndicated show, “Altville” and across Europe. After spending a year in Nashville, 2010 saw the release of “Under Your Spell”, recorded in Los Angeles. www.myspace.com/jeremiahandtheredeyes
